Bellingen is a quaint little village town approximately 30 mins from Coffs Harbour and is full of artisinal works and produce. In the centre of town you will find many historic buildings that are still thriving with the passage of time and commerce. One particular historic building is located at 58 Hyde street. It is now functioning as a very popular local Green Grocer showcasing many Bellingen producers wares. This place is definitely a must visit while day tripping to Bellingen.
If fresh produce is not your thing then try a coffee at the Green Grocer's. We discovered on our trip that the coffee that is served here is an Italian espresso coffee named Bellcaffe Australia and is imported from a Boutique Italian espresso coffee roaster in Italy. The taste is truly remarkable which differs from Australian coffee as the Italian espresso coffee is aged. While visiting Bellingen we also popped into the Butter factory which showcases the local dairy industry around the Bellingen area. It is a very peaceful setting and definitely worth a visit for a young family.
